Asking To A Dance With A Candy Saying

Our opinion on the current international moment (referring to Obama's visit)

We have recently seen the entire political class, hopping on one foot, disturbed, by the visit of Barack Obama, a faithful follower of Bush policies, and historical representative of a long and dark relationship of domination that has plagued the peoples of Latin America for more than a century.

The visit of the U.S. imperialism in a context quite significant. What I first thought would be only a symbolic visit, has become a threatening possibility of re-edit and enhance the submission of some of our countries to U.S. domination. Clearly, this need to re-mark their territory is primarily driven by the relative loss of power by the greatest world power. Today, U.S. hegemony moves increasingly to the military, since the economic crisis still affects them and are overshadowed by the uncertain global market horizons. But do not forget that, arguably, still the largest fighting force in the world.

A point that marks the current situation of imperialism, are events featuring Arab peoples, who struggle against dictatorship and for self-determination, in open opposition to U.S. interests and the European Union. See as very important to learn from their experiences and take this opportunity to make a call to show solidarity in different ways with this process.

After decades of supporting dictatorships clear that these people underwent, USA frowns what happens in those lands. The strength of the Maghreb has gone far beyond the caricature that had lifted the imperialist ideological and communication equipment and has given a clear signal to the other peoples of the world: we can decide our destiny, we can overcome. Thus, the current military operation of great powers, does not actually against Gaddafi, but against the possibility that the Libyan people deepen the revolution, beyond the control of the capitalists. All this in order to ensure continuity of the narrow interests of oil multinationals in the region.

So while the UN approves, and NATO materializes, the largest military intervention in Libya (from Iraq), Obama wants to mark a historic moment, with an offensive toward Latin America, reissued as 50 years ago was implemented as a form of response to the power accumulated by the social and armed movements in our continent: the Alliance for Progress. " That is why this new pact aims to renovate the traditional oppression of the peoples of our America brunette, with clear intentions about what preventive already happened, and still happening "with our brothers and sisters across the planet.

Today, the forces of capital seek to revitalize, therefore we must redouble the fight against the interests and false promises of capitalism, sagging efforts in building a strong and organized social movement that is able to build capabilities people to shape their own destiny.
